Wrap top

Finally a new post!
I've been slacking..I know..so time to do some sewing and post some stuff :)

I've discovered some great blogs (through Pinterest!) and Whitney from Freshly Given has given me some inspiration.
Her's came from an old LIFE magazine..

so you see how old things come back into fashion again and even though you can be inspired by the same thing, the finished product can be very different.

So there's a sale going on at this discount store. 4 men's t-shirts for E 10,-
I thought that would be great to get me some printed fabric to use for this project (and some others).

I'm using the grey with blue stripes for this project.
I'm basically copying the above with some alterations:
*I though using t-shirt jersey is would be more comfortable (and stretchy).
*I'm not connecting the wrap-tie to the bottom of the shirt but making some loops on the bottom and the middle of the shirt so I can either tie it at the bottom or at the waist.
*Instead of making a V-neck, I'm making a rectangular neck

(I'm thinking the jersey and the adjustable strap will come in handy with the post-pregnancy weight..so I can adjust as needed ;))

and well..I might come up with some other things in the process..
here's what I got so for (just cut and pinned..I still have to get to the sewing..)

to be continued :)
